My name is Chelsea Wilson and I am a Certified Birth Doula and Pediatric Sleep Consultant based in New Mexico.
I am passionate about caring for families as they celebrate pregnancies, welcome sweet babies, and find the new sleeping rhythm in their home to get some much needed rest. I attend births in Lincoln, Otero, Soccoro, and Chavez counties in New Mexico, and my sleep consulting is remote so I can help no matter your location.
Birth Doula
I love spending time with clients as they prepare to welcome their new baby. So what do I offer?
Education - I want to help supplement information given to you from your midwife or doctor so that you can make informed decisions about each step of your pregnancy and birthing experience.
Companionship - There is so much to process as you prepare physically and emotionally to bring your baby home, so I will call you once each month to answer questions or just listen as you talk about the highs and lows and hopes and dreams that you have, giving advice or pointing you to another good source of information as needed.
Helping Hands - Labor can be so much work and I want to do all that I can to help you verbally (with encouragement) and physically (with those hip squeezes!) during the birthing process itself so that you can walk away from the birth feeling satisfied with the experience.
Post Partum visits - Do you have questions about baby care? need assistance with breastfeeding or bottle feeding your baby? I will teach you or help you make a list of questions to ask your baby’s doctor. I will also spend time asking about you to make sure that you are doing okay as a mother to the new baby. Maybe this is your first or maybe it is your sixth, but you, sweet mama, still deserve to be seen.
Pediatric Sleep Consulting
Having a family is such a joy and is something in life that is just good, but sometimes the children can cause us to lose sleep….literally.
Are you tired? Did the baby keep you up all night? Do you feel like you are tending to that sweet bundle every hour? Or maybe you are pregnant and have a toddler on your hip that you wish would sleep through the night before the next baby arrives. Have you lost some intimacy with your spouse or partner because there is a child in your bed?
Exhaustion can cause stress at work, unsafe driving, high emotions, and anxiety. But you need to know it doesn’t have to be this way. Having a baby or young child doesn’t have to equal no sleep and constant weariness.
So…. would you like to talk about it? Would you like a plan that will change the routines and help your baby, toddler, or even young child sleep through the night in their own bed? I’m ready to talk.
