Sleep consultant for babies and toddlers

Let’s Get Some Sleep

If you have spent days googling, “how to sleep train a 6 month old?” or, “best tips for sleep training a 3 year old” or “how to handle the 4 month sleep regression,” but you aren’t finding what you need (or you feel like you are drowning in the information!), then I’m glad you’ve come here. Sleep training is about so much more than reading a plan that AI throws at you and here’s why:

  1. AI is not human and will never be able to replace the immediate situation assessment that is often needed when sleep training a baby or young child.

  2. AI cannot give the full picture needed. While you might get answers that explain a particular technique, what it fails to capture is the full picture of what is involved when handling emotions, promoting good eat schedules, and explaining when a hard moment is true need vs. a strong will that needs to be corrected and shaped to teach a little body how good sleep is.

  3. Finally, AI simply can’t be the voice telling you that do are doing a good job everyday or helping to brainstorm how to get over a particularly bump that has arisen.

What is a Sleep Coach?

A person who can listen to the whole story of how your home operates and what you are desiring to change so that the plan is tailored for your family.

Someone who can help you identify small steps to the big goal so you can see your continual progress day by day.

A comforting voice or text message talking to you each day to make sure you are doing okay and available to help you pivot if need.

I am here to help.

You don’t have to remain in the overwhelmed state of being awakened again and again and feeling like you have no peaceful sleep in your home.

As a sleep coach I will spend time talking to you and offering options for sleep training. There is no single approach that works for every family, so together we can make a plan specifically for your child’s needs and for the flow of your family’s lifestyle so that you can have success.

I teach gentle sleep shaping for babies 0-3 months and parent present sleep training for children 4 month to 3 years old.

Gentle sleep shaping involves slowly working your baby help to help develop a good eating and sleeping routine. Babies sleep so much at this age so the goal is teach them good sleep associations so they can eventually become independent sleepers.

Parent Present Sleep Training is about teaching parents how to be involved in training their children to sleep well. This will include teaching good bedtime routines, helping change sleep associations so that the child can learn how to fall asleep independently, and learning how to understand when your child needs help or when they need to be given space for a few minutes as they are learning how to settle. For older children this also includes coaching the parents into hold firm boundaries to keep their child in bed.
